AppleCare advised, screen optional :)

Taken the HDD out, will probably format it and use it as a backup drive.
Thinking of taking the CPU out and turning it into a keyring (wonder where I got the inspiration for that :P).
Also, I am thinking about trying to turn it into a working TV, as it could be a good conversation starter - i'm thinking of a kitchen TV.
Not quite sure how i'd go about it, but yeah :)

I think this is also a 2006 iMac, so you'd be quite right. The HDD is missing from the picture, just because i'd already removed it.
A mass of artefacts keep invading the screen, so mereckons the graphics chip (The Mighty nVidia 7600 128mb) has had it.
Had it for nearly 7 years now, so it's time to say goodbye to the poor fellow. By ripping it's heart out and turning it into a keyring :P

Looks like its slight higher spec than mine, i've got a ati x1600 128mb. Running ok but at each corner of the screen there are patches/smudges. I though this was something that i could rub off but its internal.

Yup artifacts are mostly down to gpu, if only they could be replaced but the damn things are soldered to the logic bored.

Would like to see how the keyring turns out :)

I'll be sure to post it up here if I ever get round to it :)
And yeah, I liken these All-in-One PCs to oversized laptops without keyboards - they use all mobile components which are near impossible to replace/repair etc. - absolute nightmare.
