The Movie Thread

I recently watched We're the Millers. about 75% of the film was funny then went a bit stale towards the end.

Wolf of Wall Street was surprisingly good... expected it to be a crappy comedy number, turned out to be one of my all time favorites.

Very similar to scarface, goodfellas, catch me if you can... those types of movies :)

Totally agree with you. This was a really great movie, even more impressive is that it is actually a filmed biography of a real person.

The Wolf off Wall street was great one of my all time favs now too. Reasonable doubt pretty good, 47 Ronin was utter pants, and the Fifth estate was very slow but interesting. I'm about to watch the book thief been getting god reports so far

Wolf of wall street is a great movie, fairly long film but kept me interested throughout.

Very well done and well acted.

I watched 12 Years a Slave quite recently. What a fantastic movie. An acting masterclass from the whole cast. Some bits were difficult to watch, but were essential to the overall emotional impact of the movie (imo).

That sounds like a good movie (not for entertaining purposes, although yes I suppose they are but in a display of what happened, education purposes if you get me) for it to be able to make you feel, sad, disturbed almost by it? My Sister said the same but you can't go off a girls opinion. ^_^

It was both sad and disturbing. An unadulterated look at Slavery. It leaves very little to the imagination. Some of the more disturbing scenes are dragged out and they make you feel really uncomfortable. It's good because it adds to the realism, but bad because it can make you physically sick.

Meh, I'll give it a watch sometime but I'll do it on a day when I am already on a downer.

Edit: If nobody has seen Jackass: Bad Grampa yet, give it a watch. So funny, I think it's just come out to buy.

I'm seeing The Wolf of Wall Street tonight, and after seeing all this praise I'm really looking forward to it :)

You want be disapointed guys. The Ferrari scene is one of the funniest scenes I've seen in a long time. FYI, the pictures that flash up in one of the scenes where he is describing what he owned, were apparently the actual pictures of stuff the guy owned on witch the film is based (loosely) on.

Well my favourite film of the year is definitely The Wolf Of Wall Street, with American Hustle second.

Has anyone seen 'The Imposter' its one of the craziest documentaries i have ever seen! Thoroughly recommended.

Wolf of Wallstreet was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised :)

Watched Cool Runnings on tv yesterday, oh yes I've seen in at least 10 times now, but it's such a good (well, you know what I mean) movie!

Bad Grampa is great, can't stop laughing, and yeah the diner was funny! something like "Hey check this"..."Oh shit!" hahaha. :')

I watched the new Carrie at the weekend, quite good. Never seen the original though.
