I've been waiting to do this upgrade for a loooong time, sorry for the late update but as you can imagine these would keep you busy quite a bit

Installed em in my current rig

and i have to say I'm so impressed with these, they are so quiet. my gtx460 was louder. Temp wise 27c at idle and when gaming, they reach max 71c :D

Will purchase the back plates soon, new SSD and HDD :)

Whats the performance like on these? Have you ran any benchmarks on them yet?

From the 460 i had, huge difference games look more crisp and smooth.
Haven't ran any bench marks yet, will probably do tomorrow and post results :)

I have just bought 3 x 7970's to replace my 590's but after chatting in another forum tonight regarding AMD's HD 3D i may just sell them and either stick with 590's or go for a couple of 680's. I am also going to be reversing my case layout and also switch from two separate loops to one large one? Should keep me busy next week.

I was thinking of doing two separate loops but read that one looks neater and not much difference in temps. Look forward to seeing your loop :)

I don't think mine looks untidy? I am just interested to find out the temp differentials.
That is one the reasons I bought the three 7970's, I thought they would run cooler then two GTX590's. According to another member AlienALX, AMD's 3D?????
