The Animal Nearly Lives......

Nice spec build dude - I still have my old 4200+ running at 3GHz... I'm probably due for an upgrade so I will be interested to see how well this clocks.

Im telling you should watercool that beast and also overclock it. You sure do have the space to do it and also it will be a shame if you dont as all that space will go to a waste

Watercooling is defo on the cards mate. I am going air cooled to start off with as I had already bought the parts and dont want to lose out on the cash I forked out on.

Plus I had to remove the 200mm fan on the case panel which has

ed me off due to the fact the heatsink is too large and is hanging out half a mile. Whoever invented that thing needs shooting!! lol

It wants to do a good job or its being launched somewhere in the sky or sea :)

i think that if you were going to watercool any aspect of the pc, the priority would really be the processor. the gpu's don't allow a crazy amount of headroom for overclocking anyway, and the fans that are on them should manage to keep them relatively cool. if you plan on overclocking though, the processor is where the action is gonna happen and that is where the watercooling will be most important... imho you should probably start there and move on to the cards afterwards - thats just my opinion though lol, and its a nice build i must say - LOVE the processor!

I have now received my SilenX Blue LED fans. These are going in the top of the case and will be fitted on the radiator once I go watercooled.

I think I will try out the new Swiftec Apogee GTZ when its available. It looks well nice and I think would look awesome in that case.

Just gotta ask... Why amd? AMD's fastest quad is slower than intels slowest quad... It just doesn't make any sense to me...

I have always gone with AMD. Not actually sure why. I think back in the day when people said Intel, MS windows popped into mind with it and that really put me off as I try not to use windows but only for gaming. So I went with AMD and Redhat v3 back in the day and stuck with the same kinda routine ever since.

Each to their own I guess :)
