Swedish Commercial (using oculus)

Interesting experiment but bandwidth has very little to do with lag, ping(round trip time) is the cause for lag. Having a 1000 Mbit/s line with 3s RTT (round trip time) would be horrible lag-wise but great for downloading stuff.
I'd pick a 100/50 Mbit/s line with low ping any day over a 1000Mbit/s with horrible/average ping.

Yeah, but considering how many people that confuse hard drive space with RAM when you ask them about their hardware, I'm sure a lot of people will buy it. :O

Thats true.
Although I doubt they'd have horrible ping since they intend to support 1000Mbit/s on their network, that's not exactly cheap hardware.

Anyway it's nice to see Oculus used for other purposes than gaming.

try explaining this to Virgin media when they say 'but you internet speed is fine'

lol

This is a clever video/experiment but they were playing it up quite a bit if you ask me. You would quickly develop techniques to stop screwing up like dropping stuff in the wrong place. These people are either over-playing it or have extremely poor kinaesthetic senses

I did laugh at the egg bit.

Then stopped laughing as I realised I'm already this clumsy irl, even without 'lag'.
