I've been sent home early today, which is pretty good as it's Friday.
Thing is, it wasn't because my boss was feeling generous. Don't worry, I haven't been fired either.
The reason I'm
ed off is some dude at work who I don't even
ing know, or have even ever spoken to tired to assault me. TWICE. IN WORK. ON THE SAME DAY! FOR 'LOOKING' AT HIM!
On my way to lunch I, admittedly looked at the individual in question. Obviously, I should have known better than to look at someone. My bad. This
then charges at me, getting in my face and trying to push me around in the middle of work.
The annoying thing is I study judo and kung-fu - I REALLY wanted to take him up on his offer of 'going outside' and 'accidentally' break his arm in self defense. However I have a brain and am capable of reason, I value my job and am not a flippant, mentally unhinged individual who tries to attack work colleagues. So I reported him to security and went for a pub lunch with my friends.
Upon returning I was telling my pal Chris he wouldn't beleive what happened at lunch when our companies in house nut came looking for me to 'have a word'.
He offered me a deal. If I don't look at him and keep my head down then there won't be any trouble. He has a job to do!? I respectfully declined his generous peace offer - pointing out he had a job to do.
He reacted quite oddly saying why did I look at him, and was I gay. Things escalated and we had round two - this time security were doing the rounds and I told them to detain this
head or I can't be held responsible for what I will do if he attacks me.
This time they took it a bit more seriously. Anyways I was full of adrenaline and needed to vent a bit. My interview I dropped a few key phrases - gross misconduct, unprovoked violence in the workplace etc...
The guy should be getting his P45 shortly lol
