SteamLink via Samsung TV

Just bought a new TV and having some issues with this. The guide online says you just need to select 'New Computer' and it should search your network for a PC running Steam. Instead, nothing comes up apart from a box asking for an IP Address etc of the PC in question to add it manually.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I find out what to enter in the box.

Have you enabled streaming on your PC? If not, open Steam and go to Steam > settings > in-home streaming > enable streaming.

Also, are you using a wired connection on both your PC and Link? That's honestly a must if you're going to be streaming games.

Managed to get it going after checking the settings. Can you use a wired Xbox controller? I've plugged it in via USB into the TV but it's not working.

Glad to hear that that fixed it for you! As for the controller, you need to plug the controller directly into the Steam Link - there's a USB port on the right side. It should work then.

Steamlink is an app on the Samsung smart TVs, and no you have to buy a Samsung bluetooth controller for it.
