Stadia has become the latest project to be killed by Google's Axe

Long overdue

I knew this will not work and I cannot understand how this service could work for so long. People just want PC and consoles, buy, play, sell blu-ray disc. No internet needed, no service fees needed, highest quality graphics and sound.

And the advertisement of Stadia service...

I think the idea was excellent, pick up and play on almost any device, and from exactly where you left off.

But the catalogue was poor from the start.

I see the idea bad from the very beginning. Yes, it sounds cool, we can do it technically, but not very many people want this. Google wanted this more than gamers an this is how it ends. And I'm happy this technical "marvel" doesn't pay off.

To me this proves Guillemot was wrong when he stated that the PS5 and XB series X would be the last generation of consoles we would ever see. Clearly, we are not there yet for cloud based/Streaming gaming. I tried it and even in an ideal setup, there was still that small minute lag which just annoyed me.
