Hello,

Im new to the whole sponsership stuff but I was wondering how do you get sponsered? and what can the company supply you with? parts like mobo's processors and stuff like that? powdercoating? I wanted to do a really big project for OC3D and also project log it for my coursework..

Thanks

Bondi! :yumyum:

It depends which company you approach and how generous they are feeling at the time. Really the keys things they will look for is:

Whats the return on their investment? Will it somehow help their brand? Will you be using their logos, showing it off at shows and posting project logs across loads of forums....components are expensive things...they need to see a return on that.

Who were you thinking of approaching?

I dont know, Im only 15... and I wanted to do a big project and posting project logs on loads of website's and maybe have the company's logo on the case, I also was looking for a full sponsership e.g parts and stuff like powdercoating etc.... not someone like crucial lol I would have no chance.. would aqua pc's be interested or is that no their thing? or WCUK?

And before if began I would like think about it and speak to people to help me e.g designs, and working places ..

I think you really need to already have one system that you've done off your own back - or a project already in the works before anyone will consider sponsoring you. They need to see how talented you are.

Does the mod actually have to be done like you?

Like if I make a design for a sidepanel and send it of to WCUK wont it be my mod?

Even the greatest modders send parts of their projects away if they don't have the tools for the job. At the end of the day, so long as the project you are building is extremely eye catching, you should get some sponsorship interest.

Ding Ding.... Nail on the Head... Don't go for sponsorship on your first mod, build up a small porfolio of what you can do, and then start building something... You are much more likley to be sponsored if there is allready stuff going on in your mod, and it is popular. :worship:
