Been thiking of this for a while now,

if you have hardware that can contibute to Folding At Home why not make somebody else happy

lets say you have a GTX460/old 775 QC6600 lying around and can't use it, give somebody elase the card/cpu to Fold with,

as long as people Fold with it , it seems to me like a nice idea , i am all for it

What do you guys think bin this thread or are you with me ?

Greetings Ray and Happy Folding..........

I like the idea, but one thing we'll need to figure out is who gets the hardware. Perhaps a raffle for those who are interested? And there should be some basic requirements to be in the running (such as having x amount of points and folding for 3 months, or something).

Sounds like a brilliant plan, and yeah im all for the idea of having to have "x2 amount of points and time folding, also the raffle is a nice (fare) idea

Yeah im deffo up for this, Im think making dedicated f@h rig. I also agree with the idea of a raffle

I put an arctic cooling freezer xtreme rev.2 on offer to VoraciousGorak in another thread.

He can't take it so it's going on offer to anyone that wants it all you have to do is pay for postage.

I'm in the UK.

The cooler is new/unused and has all the fittings with it still. It can fit a whole number of sockets.

Unfortunatly I'm clearing out a bunch of stuff, this is one of those things, if there is no intrest in the next couple of days it will be going on ebay.

When its on ebay I will post the link here. It will probably go on as a buy it now so if someone from the folding forum wants it when it's been listed I will happily update the total after it has been 'won' so that your paying for nothing but what I will be out of pocket for listing it and postage... if that makes sence. I would estimate thats only going to be an extra 50p ontop of the postage.

OK I've rambled on enough, I'm sure you get the idea. Any intrest either post in here or PM me. I will try to answer any questions you may have as best I can.

Sort of a begging post here....

Got a G0 Q6600 that has tons of potential and a motherboard that won't run at more than 1200FSB. Anyone in the US have an Intel chipset based LGA775 board laying around that can handle a quad core running at 1600+ FSB stable? Dual PCI-E preferred but I won't be picky as I only plan on it running a single GTX460, I have a P5N-E SLI board I can trade (full working condition, just can't overclock quad cores for crap.)

Also have an E8400 that I have never tried to overclock sitting in my bedroom computer that I wouldn't mind trading out for a quad
