So many fans, not enough headers

My motherboard doesnt have enough 3 pin adapters or the fans cannot reach them. Just installed my watercooling - all is well apart from i can only have 2 fans/3 on rad working, 1 out of 3 exhaust and 1 out of 2 intake (side). Do i need those 3 pin/molex connectors? What are they called and how cheap can i get them for?

Dunno if it'll work or not (if theres enough juice coming from your board to run the fans)

Convert the 3 pin to a molex jobbie. They come in the pack with quite a lot of fans, see if you can scrounge any from someone here

Use the 4PIN molex to 3PIN adaptor, those fans are fairly high powered. You can double those up on one molex though. I think I included a couple for the side case fan didn't i?

U could diy-ghetto it, but oddly enough, the parts can cost more than 1 u can order. That is if u don`t have stuff laying around to do it.

There are quite a few of these things about, u get them in fan packaging too.

I had them on a Crystalfontz CFA 635, that's the way to go IMO, or they are pretty loud!

Yea you did kemp, its just the rad fans wont reach any mobo connectors really, plus a few of the other fans too. Ive only got one side fan working, i substituted it for another Rad fan. £1.70 per connector? eesh Do you reckon a fan controller is the way forward here? mind you there isnt much room in the bays, i had to put my cd drive into the bay right above the res as the tubing going to the rad does take up quite a bit. If its shallower than a dvd drive then sure thing

Ive been orthos-ing for 40 minutes now, and it hasnt gone above 40c, and thats without the AS5 burnin :yumyum: and only 2/3 rad fans on

Get a Zalman fan controller mate, the one with the knobs to turn em up and down. Easy to use and looks pretty sweet
