Hello there! Basicly I just got new parts, and my motherboard makes the cpu fans spin at 1200rpm minimum, wich according to my bios is 12% fanspeed !?
I managed to get them down to 800 with some resistors? or what they are called, that I got with my Noctua NH-D14. But it's still loud! Before I got my new parts I had a AMD FX-8350, and the fans went around 850 rpm at heavy load and around 500 in idle wich was perfect! I dont mind noise when It's under load, better temps right? But I want it dead silent under idle! Since I leave it on pretty much 24/7.
My new motherboard is a MSI Z87-G45 Gaming. And my new processor is a i5 4670k. I'm loving the new parts, but this is an issue for me! Is there some way to make them spin 600 rpm ? Do I need some kind of 50% resistance thingy for that?
Please help me you kind souls!
