The memory is still coming dude, but there was a choice it was either 3 sets for the team or 3 custom sets for the compo.

The compo had to come first, its a difficult choice and yeah it was me that made it. The team will still get their kits but please remember the kits are free and it was me that arranged it all in the first place. Please just have a bit of patience, if normal numbers of ram chips were turning up at Mushkin then we would have had 10 sets for the team AND the Christmas stuff. They are just having some yeild problems atm and thats just thrown everything out of sync.

I hope you understand and appreciate why the competition that will bring a massive focus on oc3d (25,000 entries for last years) had to come first. If the forum isnt successfull there will be no OC3D at all! I know its crap talking about it like a business but it is.

But dont doubt the fact about getting the ram, you will get it asap!

I get exactly what you are saying, but this is where I stand.

I don't fold for free hardware. Sure it would be nice, but I don't think we deserve the hardware more than anyone else. If I win though I'll gladly accept, however I don't feel I deserve special consideration. People only signing up here for the contests is going to happen as well as newbies winning some freebies and never coming back. However, OC3D is running these competitions not only to be generous to members, but also to promote the site and get people to read and click on those ads. I'm sure Tom would love to give away hardware to all of us, but it's just not possible.

I'm extremely excited at the generosity Mushkin and Tom are displaying with the free memory and I can't wait to get it. I'm just as impatient as you and if I didn't end up getting it I would probably be a little mad. Mad enough to quit? No. Mad enough to make a big deal out of it? No. I'll fold on and keep coming here because I fold for the science, the PPD (I just love seeing numbers go up), and I absolutely love our team and enjoy OC3D.

Aye its a shame to say it but we need these compos to bring in new members, which means hits, which means success and means I can do more competitions.

Once the folding article is public, and the video ect we will see an infux in 1 posters coming here looking to learn. Everything just has to be in the right order for it to work. We will get there together as a big family, and when next year its top 25 in the world - also be farking excellent and possibly give me enough ammo to get kit for the team. ATM though as sad as it is even Mushkin was hard work, if it wasnt for the name similarity it probably would never of happened as they dont get enough back from it to make the investment viable.

We know you dont fold for free hardware dude, but when it arrives you deserve some. And what ever else I can try and blag for the team next year

I get what steppy is saying too, and I hated having to choose. But as I explained if things were normal at Mushkin we would have had the first and second batch by now

Please don't take what I said the wrong way. I wasn't inferring you felt entitled to free gear because you fold. You're a good guy, not someone I would accuse of being greedy or all out for himself. You're definitely a team player.

Wow did I ever miss everything last night I had so much running around to do last night getting last minute gifts for the family I'm sponsoring this Christmas.

I am now getting here

it's the Holidays everyone. Yes it is unfortunate that sometimes from a business standpoint things can go sideways for the short term but from a long term point of view this looks to be the best situation at the present time and yes Good things do come to those who wait and hard work has not gone unnoticed that is for sure I appreciate everything everyone on this team is doing.

I am shut down today as I woke up to a BSOD and didn't have time to deal with it this morning all i know is it was gpu related!

and it sucks because i had a 6900 set to finish just before 3am we all endure challenges and it's nice to have everyone hear to lean on for support and to allow us to vent our frustrations and praise our achievements. I for one will say that I am proud of each and everyone one of you for everything that you have done this year through the trials and tribulations it has allowed us to come together with a common bond yea ok that sounds mushy and shit but you guys are like family and I know we'll be able to work through this and Ray buddy just do what you have to do and I respect you either way if there's any thing I/ we can do let us know even via PM

I don't think any genuinely decent person would tbh.

I didn't post funny cartoons and pics for a free cooler, either. I did it for a laugh. Sure, I won a NH-D14 and I really appreciate that, but I wasn't there for the taking hence why I bought the NH-C12P as tbh I didn't truly expect to get it.

And I don't mean that as an asshole, I mean it as I'm a firm believer in getting what you are given, when you are given it and not complaining about it. Infact, seeing people pestering over it made me kind of annoyed. Moving onto my kind of annoyed.

It's really starting to bother me seeing people turn up here for some free s**t. To the point where I have had to refrain from even looking at the competition thread because I tend to call a spade a spade and don't hold back. I wouldn't even mind if people had even bothered to take a look around the place and possibly like, introduce themselves. But the display of greed and bum licking and selfishness is, IMO, disgusting. Especially when there are numerous members of the place busting a gut to give and be helpful.

I do understand why Tom is perfectly happy with it and of course OC3D is his baby to have and to hold and to do what he has to do in order to promote it, but yes, the whole 'flys around s**t' analogy comes to mind. Wouldn't even care if it got us some more upstanding and helpful members to the 'team' but no doubt the winners will get what they came for and then just chuff off into the sunset.

Ah well. I'll go back to helping people with incorrect information now
