Should I try overclock my 3500+ or upgrade?

Shall I OC or upgrade the processor?

AI Booster is disabled automatically. Basically, in the BIOS you go into Advanced -> JumperFree Configuration and that'll give you the main OC options such as HTT speed, vcore, vdimm, multipliers, etc. Memory options are in Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> DRAM Configuration. HTT multiplier and Cool 'n Quiet is under CPU Configuration also. When in JumperFree Configuration, for the Overclock Profile, choose Manual and NOTHING else. Avoid AI Overclock and AI N.O.S. like the plague!

Alright its official, Ill try overclocking this bad boy once i've decided on the air cooling to go with. Is the TT Big Typhoon > Zalman 9500LED? (I say this because I heard the Zalman was good.) or what other air cooling would give me room to push this puppy to the max?

another thumbs up for the xp-120 here, nice heatsink keepin me a cool 29c idle at stock atm, crap 512mb value stuff, roll on the gskill so i can crank the baby up again :D

Alright thanks for all the input guys. You'll more than likely have me asking questions about my overclock in the near future

We will be glad to help ya out wherever we can :) Feel free to ask all the questions you have.

What case you got? Without proper clearance, the Big Typhoon suffers. Also, made a mistake, AI Booster is a normal program that is on the CD that comes with the board. DO NOT use it!

My case is just a startech ATX tower. Nothing special, no windows or any fancy stuff. I've bin scoping out new cases and am not sure which to get but I like the look of the Kandalf/Armor.

A TT BT will fit in a standard ATX case.

O, I know that. I'm talking about how much space there is between the side and the BT. Without enough room, it suffocates and can't perform anywhere near it's potential. Can we get a model number?

upgrade mate................................................ when conroe comes out. for now oc the thing

I'd be in agreeance with that statement. Conroe FTW!

Well I'm going to be ordering the Antec P180, Scythe Ninja, and an extra 120mm fan which should keep my baby on ice.

2 weeks later I will be picking up a new PSU because I am pretty sure the one I have is causing me to experience artifacts while playing games. It has gotten pretty bad so I figure it is either due to heat or power.

For the psu I will be going with the PCP+C 510 Watt express SLI ready. I was told it was the way to go so I figure I would pick one up.

Great choice on the psu mate. what one are u using now?

The PCP&C's are freakin bulletproof and can handle a load higher than what they're even rated for and take it in stride. I swear by the things!

Yea my psu right now is basically a big POS lol. Until I joined these forums I sadly didn't realize how important a good psu actually was. I thought I would upgrade so I could save some headaches down the road and while i'm overclocking.
