Sandy Bridge Build (first build for me)

buying everything from newegg (live in the us)

CASE: HAF 922

MOBO: P8P67 Deluxe

RAM: Mushkin Enh Blackline 7-9-7-24 4GB (2x2GB)

CPU: i7 2600k

PSU: Antec earthwatts EA750w

GPU: GTX 560 (possibly SLI a few months later) <--- might just use my GT 240 until i save more for a 560 or whatevers good at the time

Will be gaming and video editing on this rig

Will definitely be overclocking (who in their right mind wouldnt)

Will be getting a NH-D14 in the future or maybe right of the bat depending on if i buy the 560 right off the bat or use my GT 240 until i get it

Wont be getting this build till about mid February

Budget is about $1000

EDIT: LOL Nvidia cards dont crossfire!

EDIT2: changed case to slightly cheaper one to upgrade to the p8p67 deluxe

I would advice you to go for the i5 2500k instead of the i7

The extra threads could help with video editing. They would also help greatly with folding

. If it comes down to getting a 2600k and sticking with your 240, I'd go with adicool96's advice and drop down to a 2500k so you have more money for GPU. If it's only a matter of saving a bit longer keep your picks as is.

Minor nitpick, you would be using SLI not crossfire with the 560s.

Edit: Also, I'd probably go with Mushkin RAM and a Corsair power supply, but what you have listed are solid choices too.

yea im not 100% sure but dont antec and corsair both get their psu's from seasonic?..... either way i only trust those companies when it comes to psu's as they are both reliable

maybe ill go mushkin.....ive learned to like them since watching toms vids lol
