Finally got round to doing an up to date one

A bit messy but the general idea lol

The speakers can handle bass pretty well now - better than my old sub! Not farty either

Only thing is the soundcard seems to need bass cranked up to 100% to get any bass decent bass (im a bass head) but the amp is set to direct stereo as i seem to get the best audio that way.

When i can be bothered ill get the ps3 optical into the amp, but not sure how ill get the tv hooked up - there doesnt seem to be a normal line in - just all digital (as its an av amp not stereo iirc)

Nice mate, although messing with the bass at the source is a nono frankly.

What connector does the TV use? 3.5mm? If so, just get a 3.5mm to phono out and connect it via phono to the amp. If phono, then a simple phono stereo pair will do it. AV amps usually have tonnes of phono inputs, so I see no reason why you can't hook the telly up too.

Make/model of Amp?

Gotta love Yammy amps :)

hey

its a yamaha rx v2400

hmm so it wud be better turning off direct stereo, bass back to neutral and then tweak bass settings on the receiver?

yeh a 3.5mm to phono shud work

cheers :D

Well your very best option is to grab a decent cheap sub to match the speakers and keep the whole thing neutral. That way you're not messing with the music, but you get more bass. Something like a BK Gemini would go well.

Failing that yeah I suppose you could tweak some settings on the amp

May have a look at the XTZ sub options - really impressed by their gear so far

yeh its a formula flashed to a rampage :)
