Ugh, threw up a little bit in my mouth when I first saw it. Definitely not for me as I'm more into the clean designs like the NZXT H440.
About the only thing I like about the case is the placement of the green lighting at the bottom of the case and the logo...sort of TRON-like, except it's green. Concept's cool, too.
I'm not too fussed about the new Razer product either but I really don't get what all the fuss is about the NZXT H440, Every other review is like "Yeah it's good but nothing out of this world" and on here it's like the 2nd coming and people exploding in their pants "OMG ITS WHITE AND NO OPTICAL BAYS OMG"
How far apart did you have those 5 mice? Razer gear seems to last on average about 9 months to a year in my and fellow other's experiences...
First mouse I had from Razer was the Diamondback in 2004 and I had that until 2006 and I saw the Deathadder and liked the look of that.
Then in 2009 I got the Mamba which lasted until 2012 which is when I replaced it with the Mamba 2012 edition as it had longer battery life which is what is needed when you want to run it wireless.
And then finally in 2013 my dads generic Microsoft mouse died so I gave him the Mamba 2012 Edition and bought the Ouroboros.
I only really change mice due to new designs I like, I'm quite lucky in the fact the only hardware I've ever had that has failed has been motherboards and GPU's.
So time line is -
2004 Diamondback
*2Years*
2006 Deathadder
*3 Years*
2009 Mamba
*3 Years*
2012 Mamba 2012 Edition
*1 Year due to dads mouse breaking and donating this one*
2013 Ouroboros
*Present mouse*
One thing I've learned from a lot of people over the years who say that their Razer product or any peripheral product in fact they bought died after X amount of time, They don't admit it but they generally don't take care of their hardware and are very heavy handed with it.
I've been to LAN events were people literally throw their peripherals i.e Mouse, Keyboard, Headset around when they lose or something doesn't go according to plan and then moan when they break and say "
oh it's low quality it shouldn't of broken so easily"
