Question about Mac Memory

I just found some spare ddr2 lying about (as you do) and want to us it in my mac book, The only problem is that the memory installed is 667 ddr 2 and this stuff is 533.

Will the new stuff work and will it make that much of an impact running it at a slower speed

It will most likely clock your 667 ram down to 533. I cant imagine you'll see much difference unless you are gaming on or benching you mac :p So the extra mem will probably be more beneficial.

Well just gave it a go...

and i can confirm that i believe you have have memory at the same freq as the origunal mem

Just gave it a go here and nothign was deteced using adata ddr2 533 mem sticks :-(
