Q6600 voltages

I've just got hold of a G0 and im a little unsure of how much i can pump through it? Mine defaults to using 1.275 and as it stands i've only been able to get 3ghz out of it.

Will i be ok pumping around 1.4ish through it? i think thats what i used to use on me E4300 to get it to 3.3ghz

Air cooling 1.45v,water 1.5v just keep a eye on the temps.

Have you got a program called core temp installed,if not get it. :)

Yeah i've got CoreTemp, was just unsure if the G0 could handle the same volts as it take reduced power by default.

Yeah mines doing 3ghz on 1.28v

Its back in my normal case (Lian Li's getting sent back to OCUK!) so its back on the ABIT AW9D-Max

For some reason the bios i was using would not keep the settings for the Q6600 so i upgraded to the latest one and we now seem to be missing the PCIe lock so i think it might be something to do with that.

I have

e OCZ PC6400 Ram also which could be holding me back a little.

3ghz tbh will be fine, i doubt i will see much of a jump in games anyway as none really take advantage of Quads yet.

I thought that just make sure you increase MB volts the GO really does need a lot of voltage to get anywhere past 3ghz.

I stuck the mobo on 1.48 and the MCE up to 1.70 and it still wouldnt boot past 3ghz, im not too sure on this bios - its the one thing that has really held back the AW9D-Max :(

As im also on Air Cooling i dont like the idea of having to pump loads of volts through it just to get past 3ghz (on lowest volts!)
