Hi guys,
I want to see how low I can get my CPU voltage without it becoming unstable (just as I have done on my laptop).
This will hopefully give me a good base for any future overclocks.
My motherboard (which is a Abit IP35 PRO) can't seem to set the CPU voltage any lower than 1.2875v (in the list) which is the same as when I set it to "Auto".
I've tried disabling EIST and C1E but I still can't go any lower.
Any advice would be great, I'm sure I'm just missing something very basic, it's been a long time since I lasted messed around with the CPU/BIOS stuff from the P4 days
.
Thanks,
Laurence
Edit: It seems that at idle the voltage drops to 1.15v with EIST and C1E enabled. Although anything other than idle it just goes back to normal.
