PSU with internal 3pin connector?

Basically Im fed up with it when my rig actually worked for about a week the only audible thing in my computer was the PSU, I made sure all my other fans were 22dba or quieter. It was extremely quiet.

Anyways, I was wondering if there was a PSU that connected to an internal fan with a 3pin connector? Would be nice and easy to swap for one of my current ones, as they all pretty much come with loud and noisy ones..

So, reccomend me a PSU :D

No PSU takes the power for its fan from a mobo header. There's a few that have speed sensors.

Why don't you just replace the fan in the PSU?

Thats what I mean, sorry for confusion. a PSU that has its internal fan internally connected with a 3pin connector. If it even exists.

Ah right.

A fair few PSUs use that, even some cheap-o ones. Have you opened up yours to check? What do you have currently?

And if its not got one, buy a soldering iron and some heat shrink, snip old wires, solder on new ones, shrink over. Job done :).

Cheaper than just buying a PSU.

:o

I looked in mine the other day the wire goes directly into the board inside the PSU.

Thought about cutting the wires, dad said not too atm though.

This gigabyte control thing sounds cool, im assuming if it got hot it would still ramp up the fan though?

Looked it up read 2 reviews now, seems cool :) Might go with that PSU.. £105 at overclockers uk with 800watt and modular, sounds wikid.
