Putting some new holes in for a rad wont Affect the strength of the case itself, its just getting them in the right place and not buggering up thats the problem![]()
Awsome job dude it looks really good. I noticed you went with the NZXT sentry mesh fan controller. Be VERY careful with that. I bought one for my 810 build and ended up changing it out cus it killed my bench PSU. It sends pulse feedback through the PSU. Yes my bench PSU was a 4 year old antec 500W PSU but i never had issues with it untill i hooked up the that fan controller. I tested it on my brand new HX850 just to see if it was a the old PSU time to go and the same pulse feedback was going on so i unpluged it fast. Also tested it on like 5 different old 20 pin PSU's and the same thing. I would sugest you bench test it with 1 fan and see if you hear a clicking/grinding noise coming from the motor when you move the lever off the bottom. I seen in 1 of your posts that you hade issues with getting your AX850 to turn on. This may be the problem with it unless it was some other issue that you sorted out already..
Again very nice job on the build
Good to know, I am also in the market for a fan controller and have been sceptical of NZXT fan controllers. This info will help me narrow down the list of fan controllers I would buy.
I've had 3 of the fan headers already stop working on me need to get with NZXT about a replacement. I also need to get with them on the spring latches seems both broke within a day of each other.
they are a lil sticky at first but they do get easier
