Right seeing as though I had to strip her down to fit the 2nd gpu block, I thought I might as well do the planned mods now, rather than putting them off again. I've basically done the same as Tom done in his Orca vid plus there will be a couple of ideas of my own.
Along with Toms mod there will be a psu shroud, a false floor, and a few other odds and sods to box in, and to cover up. I will be using acrylic for the shroud, and side drive bay plate, but the floor will be 1mm ally covered in sticky back plastic, as that's what Iv'e got and the floor will barely be seen.
I started yesterday with draining the loop and removing all the hardware, and that's when the cutting began. The drive bays had to go and all of the little lips that hold in the drive bay cages. With them removed I can't go any further with as I can't find my file's. Apart from the cutting I've done a mock up with card just to get an idea of what it will look like. Enough of me here are a couple of pics.
That's it for now, I'm off to cut the acrylic floor plate, and knock up some kind of rudimentary jig, for the bend in the shroud. And maybe squeeze in some lunch.
