it's taken me up and till now to build it and post the pics, mainly because I was also re-doing my skelly's watercooling loop, I did have a couple problems too, but it seems to be all good now

so enjoy

Xigmatek fans installed:

the cable management is slightly different than this now, but not by much

last shot from yesterday, windows wasn't installed at that point:

Then I ran into some problems, mainly, the 260 wasn't displaying properly, so I tried to use my 460 to see what was wrong, it wasn't working with my 460, so after a while I decided to see what clearing the cmos and moving the 260 down a slot got it working

I thought the xigmateks were a little loud after installing windows so I decided to replace them with my orange bitfenix spectre fans and do a little more cable management, now the system is whisper quiet

here is the finished product:

Thoughts on the case:

I love it! it's soooo sleek and gorgeous, the finish is amazing!!

there are only two slightly negative things I can say about the case, one, the rubber grommets are too flimsy, and that there are no cable tie down points nearer the back of the case.

Hope you guys like

Now that is one handsome looking system. Thank you for sharing with us. Is that a Red Bull in the corner?

Could you not have used fan speed reducers on the Xigmateks? Or do you prefer the look of the Bitfenix fans?

thanks

no, it's my brother's KX can, he just leaves everything lying around

I had them connected to the fan controller that the r3 comes with, and they were still louder than the spectres are at 12v, so I swapped them

Seriously - that noisy, I've just bought some as well, as I liked the look of them so much.

no, just that the spectres are so quiet

and I wanted silence in the r3, I have the xigmateks on 12v in my main rig

The Spectres should be able to keep everything cool considering how quiet and that they don't push or exhaust that much air. I may be wrong. Will you be adding Spectre 14cm fans to the top as well?
smile.gif

well I'm thinking about swapping my main rig into the r3, and watercooling it, so if I do that, I'll either be adding a 240 or 280mm rad at the top and maybe removing the front hard drive bays and having a second thick 240mm rad at the front. I'll either use spectre fans or phanteks ones

Wow, that will be an interesting system to see when it's done. I can't wait to see it.

Pretty much certain that I want to move my main rig into this case, so I need a little help deciding what to do, should I:

1. have a slim 240/280mm rad at the top and remove the hard drive bays and have a thick 240mm rad in the front

or

2. build a rad box to house the two 360mm rads I currently have, and place it underneath my case

Looks like you have the bug bad now KiiYzOo.

Options wise either is good. I'd be tempted to go for option onr and in your spare time work on the box for option 2.

Keep up the good work
