Been thinking about this project off and on over the last few weeks. Its going to be a mini ITX pc. The case will be scratch built from acrylic and aluminum and internally there will be only 3 main components. The components will be,a Zotac ION N230 motherboard,a Kingston SSDNow V series 64Gb and a Sony Optiarc DVD Drive plus cables. All the cables with be braided to match the ION. A WIP pic is below.

Will be using SketchUp for general lay out and design.Any comments are welcome.

If you do a bit of digging you can find the font that makes up the current OC3D logo for DL on the forums. I'm sure we can twist Jim's arm to get the new once its out too :).

Looking forward to updates :)

Hmm looks good!

I've wanted to try my hand at making a small form factor PC like this for a while, but always the insatiable upgrade need of the gaming rig changes my mind :(

Im going the other way, gaming rig I dont use at all and I want something to sit on my desk that I will use.

Now the new design forum is up and running (Ace),I do need my OC3D fix every day. I can start working on the case design some more. May change the DVD drive to a slot type if I can find one for a good price. So all I need now is the OC3D font so I can start designing the case front and top. Please, please, please can I have the font.

The Blue ray one is too big for the case design, looking for a slimline slot one as I going for minimum height on case.

Ah I see. There are plenty of slimline ones out there somewhere. Are you going to retrofit a new front to it too to match the case?

If i can pick a slimline slot DVD up cheap,if not it will be a normal slimline and will alter the front.
