Project KURO: CM 690III by Jesse Palacio

Oh my god! I just checked that icemodz site and asked support if they can reproduce the LED strips from the Corsair Link lighting kit and they can! I've been looking for a site like that for soooooo long now :D

Really looking forward to seeing how this build progresses. It actually looks awesome/better with the chrome painted black; giving me ideas ;)

ive been out a few weeks trying to make little cash to fund this project.. then comes kid's school bill, so i threw the goal of getting a new motherboard out the window..

anyhow, i decided to just build KURO.. so i would get a better idea on what i could do with it, and have little to no issue about compatibility, or mis-fitting things.

this is how it is now. will work from here.

didnt like the thickness of my orginal PSU cover, so i decided to make another one.

thanks guys.

i wish i could put this build under water.. but, sadly.. cant afford it. i just work with what's been given/had.

still a work in prgress though. thank you for your replies. =)

Do I sound like a woman that much to you? :(

Well no, which is my point. It's kind of hard to tell over the web. Sure it's
statistically far more likely you're male since we're on a tech forum, but
it's not like there are no female partakers in the technological glory.

In any case, why the sad face? Is the possibility of somebody even considering
you might be female that horrifying to you? :p

(I jest, of course, just in case that's also not obvious over the internet ;) )

Yup, W/C is rather costly. Luckily though, today's air coolers are decent
enough that one can get by on air or with an AIO quite comfortably (at
least IMHO). Besides, I really like the stealth mod on the AIO you've done.

To be honest; It's happened multiple times that people thought I actually was a woman. Must be the way I type or something :p

Agreed on the watercooling part, although I personally prefer the look of big, black aircoolers on videocards over watercooling, don't ask me why. One of the huge black BeQuiet! CPU heatsinks wouldn't have looked bad in this build either.

I also do quite like the 'stealth' mod that alpenwasser mentioned. Looks great like this but could also offer space for a very subtle logo or something like that :)

Made a CPU block cover and side 5.25 bay cover. didnt have my camera when i made them. but here they are, installed.

thank you for following. =)

I like that slick, stealthy look of cm 690 II (still the best loooking case in my opinion) and you just made it even better! Subscribed!

thank you. =) it's actually the 690 III. my previous build, CENTURION managed to grab 3rd place in the Cooler Master Case Mod competition.. i'll use some of what i won on this build.

Haha, actually it wasn't your language pattern or anything, it really was just based on
the fact that I did not know and hence acknowledged the possibility that somebody is
not necessarily male.

Apologies for ruffling your feathers. ;)

Oh, I like that!

Awesome! What about an HDD cover?

And that!

bent some acrylic for the HDD bay cover. this is the reason why, before painting.. it is imperative that you wash the surface first.. preferably dish washing soap. i got too lazy, so now the work has been doubled. get it right the first time, is always the shortest way to go.
