Project: It "USED" to be a bit tight :O

You weren't kidding when you said tight, must have had about 1-2mm clearance from drive bays when fitting mobo,

Nice rig but could do with a bit of cable management

yeah cable management is pointless at the moment, as said all the cables need rebraiding, and theirs a watercooling kit to be fitted. so not much point making it all neat and tidy only to rip half of it out again.

did a quick benchmark on vantage today using the performance setting. Im not sure what to compare it with realy. All i know is my last system scored 4965 total. and that thng still played most things. So im more than happy with the money spent.

Just a question matey:

After spending all that money, why did you go with a generic PSU over a branded one which will protect your kit if the worst happened?

Brands arn't everything, The Novatech PSU has great reveiws and lots of power also comes with a 3 year garrentee. And with all the extra leads has far more future proofing than any of the corsair units i looked at.

How are you finding your temps with the single rad?,Just installed a single to mine, and seems to be working quite nicely.

Sits at 29 wile its just ticking over. and I did an 8mil super pi calc, and it didnt realy budge at all on the temps. so I need to fined something to monitor tempta better than the asus software I think as sure it would of gone above 32 degreese

Dont mean to be a kill joy but wouldnt it have been easier to use a cm 690 ii

but then that would be practical

plus he developed a bond with his case. I thinks its always nice to have a bit of history with each build.

P.S

I have no sound at present, new drivers installed etc etc. All that comes up is the HDMI on the AMD cards. in my sound devices. So not sure what is happening with the onboard sound. I am about to have a play with the efi bios, And im hoping its something in their.

Not sure if this is your issue or not. Are you using your onboard sound from the rear of the mobo, or are you using the case audio jacks? On my mobo you have a choice of HD or AC97 audio which you have to set in the BIOS. This is for your case audio jacks. If its your onboard audio at the rear of the case, sometimes if you have the front audio jacks plugged into the mobo, it will stop the rear jacks from working. You have to unplug the front audio header on the mobo to allow the rear audio to work again.

This may have nothing to do with your problem, but worth a shout.

Grab a copy of hwmonitor it will keep a min/max and current temp for you.

Awesome build I like the idea of pushing a case to it's full potential, I am a sucker for having a case that is easy to move and no bigger than it needs to be, maybe because of all the LANs I go to but yeah

Yes I love it the way it is now. Nut I am thinking of watercooling the GPU's and their just is not enough room to do it in this case. unless I use 1 140mm rad for cpu and gpu' and thats not going to be good.

I have been looking at the raven but i dont like the fact that its left handed only. I like to have my case on the right hand side and still be able to see the gubbins lol.
