I usually don't care for white-themed rigs, but this is simply bloody amazing dude. Epic props on the craftsmanship and effort put into this beast.

Yeah, it took forever to finally get this rad, but it was very much worth it.

With the CPU at 4.8ghz and the video card at 938mhz, the temps are very acceptable.

They idle at 30, the GPU hits about 55 under load and the CPU sits around 60-62. The fans are quiet, but not silent. Over all its great and am really contemplating getting another 580 for it. With the new cards approaching quickly I can hopefully pick one up for a nice price.

This looks freaking amazing. Great job. One question, how did you get those sata power cables done in such a neat way. I can't seem to figure out how to properly open / customize / sleeve mine.

Nice OC you're running.

Thanks

I'm not a big fan of the RAM I have, I think if I get some better sticks I will be able to hold a steady 5.0.

It was not too bad to sleeve them. I separated the top and bottom wires to sets of three and used MDPC-X SATA sleeve to keep them nice & flat. The sleeve keeps good shape and can handle four wires without any issues, though more than that will cause it to deform a bit.

have you entered your rig on any other sites for a "rig of the month" type contest.....

you really should consider it....

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I have actually not entered it in any contests.

Maybe I will take some time this weekend and see if I can find any contests that I could enter and have a chance to win. My past experience with them has not proved fruitful. Maybe this build can change that.

you should bro I'm sure you'll win hands down. I just wish i had half the patience you do well more time for me lol i dont like being rig less once my back up rig is running I may do more on mine. But you sire as I have said before are a Steely Eyed Missile Man

Thank you

entered into one rig of the month contest, but its hard to find others that I can enter into. Sometimes sponsored parts work against you

After watching Tom butcher a beautiful case my heart is heavy and sad. So I'm going to finish this one so that I can be happy again. Poor little feller.

So I picked up a piece of aluminum several months back because I had an idea for a filter setup for this computer. Only problem was I had to finish an apartment, move into said apartment, normal work hours, overtime work hours and countless other delays and fun times were had by all. Anyway, back on track.

So after a simple idea I was able to coax a machinist friend of mine into cutting some nice holes. First we started out with an aluminum piece .25" x 8" x 24"

Strapped it down to the table...

1020121804.jpg

And cut a couple of squarish type holes.

1020121926.jpg

1020122127a.jpg

Made a couple of notches for the filters.

1020122345b.jpg

Drilled & tapped some holes.

1021120417.jpg

Drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the case for proper mounting.

And check for proper fit.

OK! so filters work, and everything is..... short. What the hell am I going to do for feet?

So I looked at all kinds of materials from plastics to metals to figure out what I wanted to make the feet out of. I again made a quick simple design, but getting the material was going to be a different story. My machinist friend was able to get a hold of some very interesting Teflon material that would make great feet. Not only is it very white, "it cuts like buttery wax."

Clamp dem damn thangs in dat der vice.....

Make sure all the sides are where you want them.

0119132133_zps3cf804fc.jpg

Cut a couple of notches.

Make them a little more appealing..

0127130036a_zps714d8edb.jpg

And finish with a bling.

So now that this here plate is all drilled & tapped & cut & nice. It needs a little something.

IMG_6691_zps8cb84762.jpg

How about some nice white Di-Noc?

BAM!

IMG_6713_zps420b6a26.jpg

Turned out pretty much awesome....

IMG_6721_zpsb37a9251.jpg

IMG_6724_zpsb5c1d147.jpg

And the nice thing is that I dont have to take off the side panel to get to my filters.

IMG_6725_zps0f88d6fc.jpg

All right, let's get this Thing back together. Where do all these wires go?!?!

IMG_6731_zpse0cb75f2.jpg

I did change a few things around inside as well. I was able to get my hands on a UD7, some nice Corsair white RAM and another 580 to throw into the mix.

IMG_6750_zpsf032dc0c.jpg

IMG_6754_zps91bf4d6c.jpg

So I'm very happy with the way everything turned out. There are a few things here & there that I would like to change, but I really should call this one done & get started on the next one. All in all, this computer turned out amazing.
