I have put it all together, and when I try and boot it throws up the C1 error (ram). I have tried 1 stick, both sticks in green & yellow; but still the same
Why won't it just work. It's just not as easy as 939 anymore
Can anyone shed some light, I am currently searching google, but all I have found is clear the cmos which I did but it did not help.

Basically you bought some kick ass ram that need volts/timings set manually.
Pick up some £8 512 stick of DDR2 (like PC4200)*. Slap it in, boot to bios, adjust settings (id recommend 800mhz, 2.1v, 5-5-5-15 2T), shut down, pop in new sticks and it should work.
If That fails check the waterblock mount. If its bending the board it can cause the C1 error (no, i dk how, but it does. Assuming it must just knock out a contact).

Wow mate thats an awesome setup! You almost make me wanna take the dive and go watercooling. And im glad somebody else around here isnt afraid to purchase some Thermaltake products
Cant wait till its all setup!
name='!TIMMY!' said:I think your on the right lines there Ham, going to try and borrow some ddr2 off my mate and do what u said. If that doesn't work, use his ram to boot, and flash the Bios to the latest one. Pitty I have to get into windows to do that as I don't have a floppy drive.

name='!TIMMY!' said:Might have to be, forgot about that. I use my gf's, got about 7gb of stuff on mine.
name='Bungral' said:Bios is so small though.. Ya should be alright.
name='Ham' said:If the bios can be flashed from the... well bios (EZflash style) that'd be fine. But to get a dos bootable USB stick you need to wipe the drive.
