Woot just finished a SS FOR MYSELF! :D

Its been a while, 1/5hp compressor only and very quiet. Currently its on its first 6 hours vacuum, so temps much later. But very small around 6" x 14" if not smaller.

Also a pic update of my workshop and projects. (Btw almost all the rotary projects are going to be abandonded. I don't want to continue on them:rolleyes: )

Much much better as of 5 minutes ago. Pics when done vacuuming. Then tuning will happen later.

Lookin' good mate! If I were yo daddy I'd smack u upside the head for turnin my basement upside down though :p

Haha quit busting on me, I tried some organization. I have small parts in miny shelving now! :)

Here's some final build pics, I may add another loop of armaflex to base of flex line, but thats it to be honest. (Course its not mounted to wood, just built on there, so I may get some aluminum plate :))

This unit is not for sale, its for myself. :)

Temps will be warmer than other units as its a small 1/5hp compressor for silence, low power usage, and mediocre temps. I'm hoping for a nice smooth -40C evap or so round load.

*Sigh* There's a leak somewhere, only one joint on low side and I think its probably joint near filter cause of a hunch. I'll rebraze the joints 2maro or just double braze them.

I want to get this thing running, but I booted the compressor up once and it was silentttt.

Leaks happen very often with phase, just about all the time the one joint with the bad angle has a pin hole. I'll find it today and do along... 3 day.... evac....

Once you put refrigerant in the system you generally have to triple your evac times. :(

3x 8 hours turns into 3x 24hours.

I've got a few methods, some better than tohers.

1) 75 psi worth of propane and move a lighter below the joints, works for bigger leaks

2) 200 psi of comprssed air and find it or add soap n water

3) Rebraze joints one by one with pressure tests in between.

i can see that now....no wheres that leak,boom!.......there it is:rollingla :rollingla

:p

cheers.

NoL actually meant the price it cost to make. And when you say -40*C that not the processor temp that's the evap temp right. Do you have estimate around where the processor would be?
