PCP&C 510 DLX EXPRESS psu

Hello,ive just sent back a faulty OCZ600W Powerstream psu and im now looking at getting the PCP&C 510 DLX EXPRESS ,can anybody recomend this one over the OCZ.

I dont have the SLI one, but i can recommend the PCP&C 510 over any other brand of PSU, OCZs are good, but PCP&C are the best based on my experience. Has strong single rails, none of this split nonsense either

Good,what about the fan noise from the psu how loud is it?

I cant tell you myself for a couple of reasons, 1. i think the fans on the SLI and express editions are different to the ones on the 510 deluxe and 2. i run an LS so you cant hear it over the noise of the compressor and fans.

I think the general consensus is that they reasonably quiet, certainly i have heard the SLI and express ones are better than the deluxe (which is relatively noisy for a PSU) owing to the fan change, so i would thought it would be bearable for most people.

I would wait until an actual owner or someone with experience with an express posts though, as this is all from memory.

Ok buddy thanks for the imfo so far i think i will be getting the sli model anyway,that way im ok if i change to sli cards in the future as the mo im running ATI x850xtpe.

I have the SLI model and its great. A lot of people were saying how loud PCP&C PSU's were however I can hardly hear mine? Maybe I'm not pushing it enough so the fans haven't had to spin up full speed.

I have a PC P&C 510w DLX and a PC P&C 510w SLI DLX and they are brilliant psu's, they are not loud at all. I had both running 2 rigs for a week non stop in the my bedroom and I didnt have any sleepless nights

Unfortunatly about 2 hours before I was to take apart my A64 rig to sell off the bits and bobs the PC P&C SLI died on me I flicked the switch at the back, next min, I hear a bang, white flash and pop, its dead. No power from it now

Ive got to RMA it if I can figure out how or try and figure out what the problem is inisde and fix it my self maybe.

Anyways, apart from it dying, its been the best PSU Ive ever used, better than a OCZ 520w Powerstream which Ive got running atm.

have you looked at the enermax noisetaker 600w? its sli complient and provides more than enough power, looks pretty nice and is inaudible...

is the ppandc psu modular??

I now have the pcp&cooling sli psu sitting under my desk and just need my motherboard to come back from rma :/

Sorry this is a little late for a reply. The PCP&C 510 DLX EXPRESS is a great PSU, however it sounds like a tornado.

Got one and im well happy with it,i play games with headphones on so the noise dont make that much difference.
