pc overload

My pc is constantly on for more than a week (12-13 days). Sometimes its on for 3weeks and after the first week you can hear the fans from about 2 meters away.

Wil this have any short- or long-term effects on my components and would it be better to put both my fans as exhaust (to get all hot air out)?

you want air moving around mate, some pulling in & some pushing out as long as there is adequate airflow & good cooler you will be sound

Two intakes and no exhausts? no wonder you can hear your fans If your case has no mesh the hot air will build up inside your case. Ish.:P
Also, I presume you get windows updates and install them/restart when they are done?

Really you need slightly more air going in than coming out, to push air out of all the gaps to lower the amount of dust.

What case do you have and how do you have the fans ATM?

Its a no name case but I have two fans. 120mm intake and 80 exhaust

thats the best set up for it, intake at the front and out the back.

you could buy new quieter fans, though as you said you could hear the fans after a week of use so it could be the CPU fan that is kicking up.

you tried giving it all a good dusting?

I believe the tmax for your cpu (E6500)is 74C so would explain why it is spinning up.

Okay. So its simple. Change the cpu cooler? And after my upgrade In june the pc would mainly use for downloads which on average take a week or two. The sound is annoying at night

i would try cleaning the heatsink and getting new thermal paste, my friends computer cpu was going crazy shocking what a clean and some paste can do :)
