Palm pre Plus

Just picked up a palm pre plus really really cheap. £35

Apparently its had been sim locked and was stuck to O2 and this guy said ever shop he visited told him it couldn't be unlocked.

Any way after buying it off him and spending all night figuring the phone out got it unlocked and sim free.

The graphics on the phone seem much better and more responsive than my blumin galaxy. Im quite happy as it all so has on board 16Gb of storage.

NFS looks excellent on it with reflections and all sorts of 3d goodness that my galaxy doesn't have

. All so after removing the sim lock stuck in my 3 mobile contract Sim and its working like a dream with full access to the download store and with a bit of tweaking

full access to every thing.

This is defiantly a nice little phone how ever does feel a beat on the cheap side. Gonna give it to my daughter though as shes a massive sims fan and this now has sims 3 loaded onto it

did you have the galaxy s or the normal galaxy

Galaxy portal. Its got a faster chip in it but less memory, so rooted it and used the SD card to run the apps from as its a 32 GB sd card and shared 16 GB for the apps install and 16Gb for the memory card.

All so running one of those hacked images so ive got full multi touch control ect ect.

The CPU is over clocked as well for games that need it and the sound is increased by a extra 50%

Well Ive just Over clocked the Palm as well . All you do is over right the main kernel in Linux and then add a few apps in there to monitor it and then with a small amount of fiddling the palm pre is now over clocked as well from 500mhz wich its stated running speed to ->

720MHz, 800MHz and 1GHz

Here you can i have the phone running from its default to Ghz ... 50% over clock

not bad for a phone that cost naff all.

how do you stresstest it,you get any BSODS

Its got build in software monitors to stop the phone from over heating and dying on you. Its auto mode so only kicks in the over clock when needed. Works very well with the emulators. time for some galga on the bog !!!! pmsl
