[SOLVED]Paint Z78X UD4H heatsinks

Hey there,
first of all, i'm new to this forum, so hello everybody :)

I'm going to build a new rig for myself and as I'm going for a black/white build in the NZXT H440 I need a nice motherboard that fit's the overall theme. I really like the features of the UD4H from Gigabyte, but the red just doesn't fit. So is it possible to paint the red parts in white? And if so, which color/paint should I use?

Regards,
.Niar

Welcome to the forums fella,

I think you answered your own question with the colour, as for the paint Plasti-Dip is popular for heat sinks.

Okay thank you, do you know if the heatsinks can be removed? Or do I have to mask the whole board? I apologize if these questions are self-explaining or dumb, but I never painted a motherboard and I don't want to break anything :)

they should be removable with a couple screws at the back

Its probably going to be easier if you buy the board and look at them, then you will know what I mean when I say - "you shouldnt paint all of the heatsink if you dont want it to look cheap"

I'm not going to paint the whole heatsink, just the red part if that's what you meant

You were not very clear. That bit does not unscrew though, only the main body as one piece.

I'm sorry then. That's not a problem as long as the heatsink can be unscrewed from the motherboard, because I don't want to break anything by accidentally painting on the motherboard for wahtever reason
