Overclockers RMA

I bought a Sitecom WL-308 gaming router august last year, it broke, sent it back for RMA, overclockers sent it back to sitecom. I waited 28 days (maxmium days) but they gave me a refund for £90 (cost me £95.68)

The RMA status was "We are currently awaiting a replacement from our supplier" and it was for a replacement, not a bloody refund.

The bad, no more router for me. The good though I needed that £90 :p

Only reason it's a rant because they could of least told me earlier that I was going to get refunded instead.

[/rant]

Perhaps they were expecting a replacement but sitecom were too slow, so they thought that a refund would let you get another router more quickly, rather than going without for any longer. Most people would prefer a refund with RMAs! Now you have £90 to spend on a new one.

to be fair, its prolly in overclockers policy some where, if they are not going to stock the product again they have no option really.

Wow, you actually scored. After 30 days you are at the mercy of the supplier. For 7 days you can have a refund for no reason under the distant selling act/laws and within 30 days if it breaks they have to replace it immediately. After that I am afraid that usually it will always go back to the manu as the vendor has been asked to do that (mostly, unless like SCAN they keep refurb replacements) but after 30 days you will always have to wait a while.

£90 was a right result. Especially when you consider depreciation in value and so forth. I would imagine they sent it back to Sitecom who couldn't repair or replace it and so gave them credit. At which point they gave you your money back. But, to recieve money back in any instant is nothing short of a miracle IMO. Especially as it was after 7 days?
