Orca 2

That antec case looks amazing but the interior isn't all that modern. It'd be a great basis for an interior mod. Antec have gotten better with build quality recently so it'd probably survive a few cuts here and there.

Maybe a good basis for Orca 2 after all?

That's fine if you like it you like it but it's a case i wouldn't recommend IMO there are better choices.

I think we are at a point now that cases are just subjective when it comes to water cooling. Everyone has their own opinion so when threads pop up "what case shall I get" the threads just spam all different choices.

If the exterior looks good you can literally gut the entire interior and throw in some custom acrylic paneling with fixings and mounts to get it how you want.

But these days I am considering an LD V8 due to large options, and then putting some stylised exterior paneling

Yeah looks pretty sweet from the outside. Especially with the glass(?) panels.

Potential cases probably don't even need to be that large as I'm guessing most of the data will be on the WD60 so the onboard requirements for Orca2 would most likely be m2, PCIe based or at worst - a couple of 2.5" SSD's.

Even mid towers should give ample room for a nice loop with the HDD cages gone.

Hi Tom

I just took a look at the Parvum ATX series cases. The L1 looks very good to me, and in white and red it would be spectacular with any of your mods. I might think about one soon as I see what the next X99 series boards look like. I have skipped Skylake and Z170 for right now so next upgrade will probably be from Z97 / 4790K to X99.

The Rad support in the L1 is plenty enough for any setup and it looks very clean.

You know what, he actually has a point... I'm seeing project Magnus in White.

parvum case is freaking nice even though all the pics look like CAD drawings. expensive but nice

I used to think that way, but have you had a look at some of their cases lately, not going to lie I'm tempted by a couple.

Nope, I will never ever be tempted bye Antec or Thermaltake to me all they make is crappy products doesn't matter what they come out with wouldn't get me to buy any of there products, To me there are way better options than those two.

I'm going to vote in favour of Parvum, I think a white L1.0 with red accent pack would look the mutts nuts and the boys could go nuts with the customisation.

With the older stuff I'm inclined to agree, but development is better and products are getting ever better. Where the bigger companies don't listen these guys seem to have their fingers firmly on the pulse. Progress is what i see when I see new antec and Tt stuff.

I used to run an Antec 1200... Now, it's all butchered cause I ripped it apart and sold the fans. It collects dust and cries every once in a while, but it deserves it for being a right ass pain.

As for the 600C, in the video you mention having to deal with the door when it's upside down but can't you just unscrew the hinges and move/reorient them as you need to?

The hinges appear to be handed. Flipping them will move the door forward maybe a centimetre. The left side is not hinged so you cannot just swap sides.

I like that new one with the orange strip lights except I dont like the orange!

I think In Win would be a strong choice as well! I've worked on the H-Frame 2.0 and it really is a nice unique looking case. I'm running it at the moment :)

If you want more info about it and more in depth look at certain parts of it let me know. I'm yet to post my build log on it.

However, in my opinion, the S-Frame is much nicer and unique looking. You can custom mount two rads on the back of it like metallicacid did. I'm seriously considering making it my next long term build :D

Someone at Asus HQ noticed I needed new screens......
