Orca 2

Ah that's a shame. I'm sure you'll work something out!

The more I look at it the more I wonder why Corsair didn't do it this way to start with - I mean look at the 400C. Make it larger and you'd be set.

Not a lot else is really compelling ATM - especially in the larger form factors unless you go all out Caselabs style. I know this build is pretty special so it deserves something worthy.

More something I want to do more than build with.

I think the 600C is inverted just to make it different. Id have had a much easier life if it wasnt though!

A CaseLabs SMA8 or SM8 is your case. They're big at over 90L, but still smaller than a case like the Enthoo Primo (97L) or the the 900D (110+L), but you'll love it. Have you played around with CaseLabs cases before? With EK XE rads and the new Bitfenix Spectre Extreme White LED fans you'll have a banging system.

Having a two-tone CaseLabs case with white exterior, black interior, you can put fully white loops with pastel coolant and white fittings.

To the right of the motherboard (if you would choose the stock configuration, left if you choose inverted) you could put a big vinyl logo on the middle wall part that you would then mount your reservoir over.

Optional
To add to the rig, you could put a low power Skylake (6100T) in the bottom and have it passthrough the back for HDMI and two USB. This system could be connected to a TV or large monitor above your current setup while you could be able to watch streams, movies, videos or simply chat with the people of OC3D while you use the main system of Orca whatever you intend to do :)

Loving the detail there dude!

Im honestly not sure about a dual rig though, Ive already got the home server. Id rather my main rig kinda did it all tbh.

Case wise I love the Caselabs stuff never really thought of one as a main rig kinda case though, difficult to explain why. Ill put it on the list though and see what I can come up with.

TTL do you still have those CaseLabs cases that you review 4 years ago (highly unlikely) tho, I think you said at the time it was one of the best cases that you ever had review.

There is CaseLabs Mercury S8 White ATX Case

have you had a look at some Lian-Li cases?

also seeing as your good friends with the guys over at parvum, i'd say have a chat with them

MMM I'd suggest the Hex Gear R80 when it comes out. have the alu profiles anodized white if possible. I know Nate and Hans is planning to offer that in the shop as well at some point.

I'd say go for Corsair case mod and really enjoy it. It's a great opportunity to have a go at something a little different and learn something in the process. As a viewer I'm always interested in what ingenious ways modders make the impossible seem so logical. I think you'll enjoy and appreciate the build more if you push yourself.

I had though of the S10, but the airflow is a bit of a PITA. I guess if you plan on modding, it can be great. Huge radiator with fans in the storage area anyone?

I built a corsair 600c for a client and it could have been my favourite case ever if it hadnt been inverted. I really liked the 400c which was just too small when i looked at it for my personal use. Im going to see if i can get hold of the guy with the 600c to see if i can see how it can be inverted back

Having read through the thread Tom and taken your comments into consideration and what cases you've cast aside and the ones you like.

I personally, if I had the option I'd go for the Caselabs Magnum SMA8 2 tone - white exterior, black interior.

Expensive though

As an owner of a Caselabs Nova X2M case I can attest to the quality. I love the SM8 and SMA8 cases. Truly functional and last a lifetime. Yet the one niggling thing I have about them is a lot of the SMA8 or SM8 builds end up looking the same. Dual Loop with two res/pump combo right next to the MB. I have thought long and hard on how to make a Caselabs build something truly my own. Maybe I just need to put some more design time into it.

Orca2 should be unique, and I just don't know if an SM8/SMA8 build is the right call

Just a thought Tom but have you thought of asking Corsair if they could make the case as you wanted it as a 1 off project? would be great publicity for them also

What about an LD V8 reversed all in white.

Can slap two 480 rads in the bottom. Or 900D.. still have mine and cant seem want to replace it.

Why don't you do a Heaven and Hell V2? You could use some sort of white theme at the top using an white motherboard like the X99 Deluxe with blue coolant (like the sky) for the top loop and for the bottom loop have black theme with red coolant.

Just go balls to the wall all out monolithic white 900D.

*facepalm* :nono:

All joking aside, to the people commenting for him to use a CaseLabs case, YES it would probably fit all of the criteria in terms of color, quality, and features because that is all customized. However, from what I gather, he also wants to put a personal touch on this that an unmodded or unaltered case simply wouldn't otherwise have. I think...

@Tom: I actually like your idea with the 600C. I can see it being a right pain in the ass, but I like it.
