Nope, they will not drop the invite thing. I have posted a link to it in my phone upgrade thread, it's their way of countering the 'out of stock' disappointment.

There is no doubt about it that I'd keep my invites in the OC3D family, offer one to the guv for bringing us all together, one to SuB for maintaining this kingdom and do a 24 hour competition for the other ^_^

Smashing the phones doesn't seem environmentally friendly at all. Plus there are load of bad chemicals in the phone like the screen and battery. Take out the battery if you do this.
