OC3D GTX 1080 Ti Owners Club

I got mine on launch day but only received my EK Block + Backplate last week.

Looks nice I think :)

Load Temperatures:
1.9GHz: 37c-40c depending on ambient room temp.
2.0GHz: 37-41c
2.1GHz: 38-42c

It hits 1911MHz on its own without me touching any clock offsets or any other settings so I consider the 1.9GHz result a "stock" result from just giving it better cooling. It was hitting about 1780-1820MHz on the Air Cooler in games @ 85c so this is a nice improvement. I've not needed to touch voltages to get it running at 2.0 or 2.1GHz but I did have to adjust the power limit to get it to 2.1GHz. Great card!

Looks awesome, Added to the list :)

Excellent results. 2.1Ghz with no extra volts is very good.

AFAIK we can't adjust volts yet, Although Tom Peterson did say once you start to touch volts on Pascal it severely reduces the lifespan of the card.

Thanks!

You can adjust it in MSI Afterburner (using a beta build) however I have chosen not to do so because of what Tom Peterson said in that video. As he said it, setting the voltage to maximum allowed (by software like MSI Afterburner) is tantamount to reducing the cards life span from 5 years to 1 year (based on their laboratory testing projections).

So that's good enough for me, stock voltage as I want it to last a few years I don't upgrade yearly.

Pascal stops scaling past 2.1Ghz anyway so there's no point. 2.1Ghz is a beastly overclock. While I'm not speaking from personal experience and do correct me if I'm wrong, Nvidia seemed to have made overclocking very easy with GPU Boost 3.0 and Pascal.

I would agree with that, for me this is the easiest overclock I've ever done, just move two sliders up and it's working stable.

It does yeah, I still love that memory. I'm thinking when I upgrade to Skylake-E or Kaby Lake-E that I'll move these heatsinks over from my DDR3 memory to the DDR4 I just love the look so much.

I also got the EK red CPU block when I did my GTX 1080 Ti update. I love red :)

I agree it shouldn't matter how people type it, it just seems like people are moaning about something that shouldn't even matter.

Type it the way YOU want and who cares about how other people type it.

I'll be just like you are 99.9% of the time... I don't care what other people say, I care about how it is written and therefore I write it.

No one is going to change my opinion on it, cause it's my own opinion.

And funny enough you should say people moaning about something that shouldn't even matter, when you seem to be doing it on a regular basis.... lol.

You know Chrazey, the one thing just as annoying as the guy being negative all the time, is the person pointing it out all the time too.

And to settle your OCD. Nvidia call it 1080 Ti in their press releases (with a space) and most of their documentation, in order to be consistent with Titan X for example. So I would say that would be more correct as opposed to 1080Ti.

Personally the lack of spacing looks like a better branding to me.

Also if you google 1080ti (minus space) the top hits are all 1080 Ti (with space)

You might get into trouble bye quoting me from someone who might have a meltdown Hahha.

Your taking something and twisting it to the way you want.

So it's fine for you to moan about something like Red/Black theme builds and stuff in general you don't like ohhhh but that's fine sorry you can't have it both ways complain about someone else doing it when you have done it.....lol

I have said this before if i don't like the way PC parts are going namely with RGB on motherboards what do you expect me to say be nice for the sake of being nice....Nope

I might be the realest person on this forum cause i tell it the way it is it just comes down to it people on here just can't handle what i have to say.....Hahaha

You can't like everything that comes out, IMO If you do that makes you fake.

You can add me to the list of owners btw, forgot to mention that. I'll add a pic later, but I managed to get one of these cards for the price of a 1080 via little mistake in the online store pricing ;)

Fair enough then.

Added, I'll add the pic when you put 1 up :)

OC wise what was the peak and the average? Your screenshot is a bit pointless for a GPUZ without the rest.

peak i think was 2100 need to have another look. GPU-z was just a means of showing I had a 1080ti card. Some people can be a little picky when posting a picture of a card inside the case :) Box is in storage and I wasn't up for going down 8 flights of stairs.
