OC3D Cinebench R20 Benchmark Thread

Yep I wasn't timing it as it's not my main PC but the whole test must have been going a good half an hour or something, doubled as a stress test to make sure temps were all good, I reckon it could easily break 200 single core with a few tweaks in the BIOS but it still holds 60+ in the few controller friendly games I'm playing atm (Forza/Dirt/Rocket League) so I don't feel much need to tweak much or upgrade yet.

I guess I've secured my place at the bottom of the leader board for now though, I don't think my Ivy Bridge laptop would do any better as I've forced it to do 3Ghz all-core boosts from its 2.1Ghz base atm (As the main heavy loads it faces atm is compiling/programming microcontrollers so very bursty) but it'd probably spend half the test at 1.5Ghz from throttling for this kind of load and I don't really have the time to sacrifice my work PC for that time yet.

Updated my bios and drivers and the score dropped to 3500. Not going to waste any more time with this.

*I'm sick of looking at it lol. It's obs broken.

Kei. Can you run your TR 1920x stock please? IIRC when I bought my Xeon for half of the price of a 1920x it was about the same at stock clocks, and faster than the 1800x at any clocks. The results with the R1700 there ^ (about 25% faster) are about where they were when I got it for £350.

I must say it's very inconsistent indeed, I've done over a dozen runs and the results are wildly all over the place.

Anyways here's mine.

With R15 if I did a couple of warm up runs (to get the CPU loading up properly) my score improved. With this? I can lose 20% of my score just by running it a couple of times.

I have noticed from your score that you are running an outdated Windows build (1803) you could try updating then run the bench again. That said I know what you mean about the bench runs it drops and rises with each attempt, I guessing this will be an early thing and an update to R20 will happen soon.

I guess I've secured my place at the bottom of the leader board for now though ...
Sorry, but I can't let you have that.

Since the big rebuild I've hardly used it. Been playing some Metro today. At 2.1ghz my Titan XP coil whines like a beyotch at 1440p. Mostly because during most of it it's running at over 100 FPS on ultra. So it's no slouch in gaming tbh. Will be nice to get to my new place and put some serious hours on the upgrades I spent a fortune on !

I'm loving that race to the bottom. That said, you were not the bottom of the single threaded charts.

Will hopefully get to add some more results of my own tonight.

Thought I would kill some process and give it another spin, I don't want to suicide run I think it's better to bench at my 24/7 settings so there isn't much change. I might try a 5.2Ghz/5.3Ghz run at weekend for the lols ;)

Cool. I'm just going to update your existing scores with the new results, just to keep the chart nice and simple.

I'll add extra listings if there is an actual specs change, like a boost in clock speed as you mentioned there.

Broadwell E still taking an absolute pasting in single thread. I will try updating Windows later to see if that changes anything. Do note, this is not the rig I benched before. This is an identical CPU with an identical all core clock but less cores and cache, and a Alienware board with 8gb RAM (soon to be 16, I am removing the extra 2400 16gb from my rig as I am sure now it's the cause of my woes.)

Pushed to 4.1GHz which seems to be the limit for my 1920x as I'm pushing 1.46V and 4.125 is not stable.

Just updated one rig to 1803 (well, pending a reboot). Didn't have time to do the other one, but will run it again tomorrow to see what difference it makes, if any.
