We have discovered a new CPU benchmark

-Looks at the article
-Looks at my build log http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=72714

**Single tear rolls down cheek**

Benched my dual Xeon (X79 E5-2630v2 @2.60GHz x2) workstation, will re-run my E3-1230v3 when I get home.

Also, please dont extract the assets in the file for your own use, Viz work or otherwise like a certain green coloured graphic card vendor did in order to promote their own render engine last year.

Otoy also do a good GPU benchmark tool, CUDA only for not but the next major upodate to their render engine will support AMD cards.

EDIT: OK, re-ran the benchmark again (Same dual E5-2630v2 workstation) and got a much quicker score. Going to so a few more runs to see if the results are consistant.

EDIT EDIT: Ran it a few more times till i got a consistant result - 2:26. It seems to be a tad unstable and pauses/hangs fequently. If you get a black screen on start without the render showing restart it.

^Copied from the result pop-up (I corrected the CPU clock, though)

If RAM matters I have 8GB of 1600MHz :)

EDIT: Just noticed you wanted a screencap with CPU-Z, so I added that

Some very nice scores you have there, very interesting differences to after a few runs. That could be due to your dual CPU setup, but I will have to see how constant the score is with my CPUs.

It is a shame that I didn't see this benchmark in your old thread, but sadly the forums has to many posts to simply read them all.

Gave my daily rig a little bump and it did reasonably well, I shall have to try it with the 5960X next week.

Its cool, I wasn't being serious. More poeple might see my thread if I actually updated it but there is nothing in my pocket but lint for now so it's on hold.

I'm really really interested in seeing OC'ed 5960X results compared with mine.

A number of people on the Corona forum seem to be having this problem, patch for inconsistant times is coming tomorow apparently.

FX9590 @ 4,58GHz (because mobo is a piece of junk and can't even handle the CPU @ stock).
