Corona CPU Benchmark Released

Corona 1.3 Benchmark Finished
BTR Scene 16 passes
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz
Time: 0:02:42, Rays/sec: 2,999,290

Running @ 4.4, 16gb corsair @2666, X99 Sabertooth

Ran it on one of our servers here at work.

8core/16thread using E5620x2 Xeon 2.4 Ghz Processors
48 Gigs Ram

Wonder what my gaming machine will do at home later as it took this server to 100% utilization

And as a sharp Contrast to my own rig, here's the results from my partner's PC. (She doesn't care about specs like I do.)

Some very interesting results so far guys. very interesting.

For example look how close TTLs Sandy Bridge i7 3970K and my Skylake i7 6700K is, not bad work for Skylake given the fact that the Sandy bridge CPU has 2 more cores.

We can also see here that a lot of the i7 4790K CPUs deliver very similar performance despite being in different systems.

It is OC to 4.2 at 1.25 Tried to get a picture under load, max 64C at 100% load. This is my gaming rig. Going to play with OC to see if I can get more

This bench is hinky, it always produces better scores the more you run it. Mark you should look at the Alpha4 Bench, it has better CPU recognition and memory usage.

With 1.3 my benches always run to 4:18 but at 4:16 there is a pause and a huge drop in Ray/Sec count from 2,010,000 to 1,890,000, add this to what the devs of the render say is a problem with the VFB not being refreshed as it should. They also claim on their forum that Ivy performs better than Skylake and Haswell and no one knows why..

So I'll leave this here, see what you think.
