There nothing wrong with a bit of bromance.... as long as I not involed in it!!

The shield definately looks interesting, but till there is a bit more information about on it, I will reserve judgment on it, but the specs, sounds like a modified original Nexus 7 and hyped up with latest stuff.

I do like the idea of the Shield, but it restricts me to an Nvidia environment. I don't want restriction.

Nvidia ATM want to create a Nvidia ecosystem, with a G-SYNC monitor, a Shield for streaming etc. But entering that System will undoubtedly limit how much i can streach my budget sometimes as I always go for what gets me the greatest performance for the pound, which isn't always Nvidia.

Who knows, it could be, it also could be the announcement of some of the 800 series gfx cards and when they plan to become available.

I am a bit confused - does this device also allow you to play the games on your PC through the tablet/controller if you have an Nvidia GTX GPU. I have never tried that but seem to have noticed when installing my GTX 760 ROG Striker

Would love an explanation of what it is as I have not followed the Shield device at all

Essentially with a shield your Nvidia based Desktop can game and stream the image to your Shield Device (either Shield 1 or Shield Tab). It is relatively low latency and using your controller you can then play your game.

Then there are Shield games/ games on android and Nvidia Grid.
I don't know much about Grid but i think it is when Nvidia servers play the game and stream it to Shield.
