Nvidia Shield K1 Tablet, the same specs, lower price

Nvidia has just revealed their new Shield K1 tablet, which features the same specs as the original shield tablet, but a much lower price of £150.

That's actually a smidgen more realistic, and to be fair I would be extremely tempted to buy one.

But....

Sadly their streaming app is limited to their GPUs so I won't be buying one, not even at the cheaper price.

If they're going to continue to make monopolised beds they can lie in them.

To make a tablet when the world already has the very best is risky. To make one that assumes that every one is using an Nvidia GPU is just all out fail.

It may not be the tablet for you, but if you are looking for a tablet then this is still a great option for any user with its great price to performance ratio. If I am correct there is ways of streaming from radeon powered pc's as well, but I cannot remember(there was an article somewhere)

I've always felt that 8" was a tad too small for it, but I guess most people dont mind it.
