NickS' Project: ШДŦΞШ //56K//

Aight, some changes here :p.

Modded my chipset to SLi, switched jumpers to 8x and 8x, and threw in two of these es.

Yeah, 590/1600 out of a 7600GT. You'll soon see why.

First off, the SLi mod on the chipset. What a pain. It look me a good 10 minutes of careful scraping only to find that the things I need to connect arent beveled solder pads, they're flat with the chip. So after a bit more scraping, I finally joined the connection with a trusty #2 pencil. Swapped the six jumper blocks over and my board is SLi. Nabbed my Dads SLi bridge that came with his A8N-SLi Premium. These were his cards too.

The core :)

Yeah, you read that right. These things have 1.1ns RAM. The same ram you "cool" people have on your "almighty" 7900GTX's and X1900XTX's. :p:

Well guess what, I got the same stuff on my $150 card.

Some heatsink action for the lonely mosfets @ rear. These things WILL be vModded later this week, when the SECOND Maze4 arrives. Oh, and some swiftech ramsinks too.

Maze4 is just begging to be used right there :p:

My Tagan 2Force 480w-u22-SLi is holding up well two, even with all this stuff.

Keep checkin the thread, later this week I'll be..

  • Lapping my CPU Heatspreader
  • Installing Dual Maze4's
  • Mounting Swiftech Ramsinks
  • vModding VGA's
  • Benchmarking

Took the vMod off the cards. TBH, I only gained ~10FPS in CSS Stress Test with them @ ~630/1700 and it's not worth it. Running them on stock air.. TRYING to sell the blocks.

I did my benching already and had the Aquamark WR for two 76's in SLi but I think someone with C2D stole it.. not sure, must check.

With 2 blocks and 2 90* bends gone from the loop, flow is much better and CPU is sub 50*C load now.

@ Popo & Tox, ty guys.
