i am looking for a 8 port raid card for about £150 or less dose eny one no were to get them from

i was looking at gettin 2x 4 port pci sata cards at about £50 each but dont no if that would work at config the rade on each card or what

o and thos 4 port ones were only 150 i need the 3gb speed ones

I've had good luck with 3Ware cards. Check out the 9650se-8lpml card, not sure on pricing where you are at. They cost about $500 here. Only problem is that line of cards doesn't come with battery backups, so you have to spend additional to get them if you want one. When you get above 4 ports on a true raid card, the price starts to hike.

LSI and adaptec make some good cards too.
