New Mouse Pad Advice

Hello Fellas and Fellettes,
Let me preface this post by saying that I have never owned a proper gaming mousepad. The mousepad that I currently have is one that I had made up with my business name/logo on it. Obviously it was meant to be looked at and not actually used because the the thing has all but fallen apart after only a year. Now on to the meaty bits...

I am looking for something that isn't too expensive, doesn't have a great deal of friction (so I'm not having to force my mouse about), and is generally durable and won't fall apart on me. I don't normally play any games that require a great deal of speed/precision when it comes to mouse movements. I have been looking at the Corsair MM200 mouse pad. I generally trust Corsair products, although I have never owned any of their peripherals. I was also looking at the Logitech G240 Mouse Pad. Any experience or advise anyone has for me on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

P.S. I use a Logitech G600 mouse if that helps.

I have the Logitech pad and it works great. No friction you are worried about, doesn't move about on your table/desk, and I also use it with the G600

Steelseries 4HD(hard plastic) or Qck(cloth).
I'm using a 4HD because I prefer hard mats and it has less friction than cloth ones. They will both last you quite a while but I find that hard mats last longer.

The most comfortable mouse pad I have ever owned, The XFX Warpad, Awesome piece of kit and well worth it.

+1 for the QCK cloth mouspad, I got one free with my Steelseries Rival and it is really good.

Until you fall out with it and find another brand to stick your hands down their pants :P

I started using the Razer Sphex about 3 or 4 years ago, never used another one since. It's paper thin and literally sticks to the desk :) poifect, no wrist strain, ever.

The Corsair MM200's aren't insanely durable, you can tell they are of a premium but nothing excessively special in any way. They look really nice and clean when they are brand new.. and clean. But once the edges get dusty it's kind of hard to do anything with. I have tried to rinse it and dry it but it didn't help notably but I am an OCD freak, i'm sure most people would say its fine.

The old school sensor in my R.A.T. does track very nicely on it, it is extremely sensitive to dust or lint in the sensor but it has worked more reliably on the Corsair mat than any other i've used it with (Cyborg V.3 and V.7). I'm terrible at gaming so I couldn't make any serious comments on it's 'performance'. The mouse moves on it and it doesn't move on the desk.

Unless you like the look of the Corsair logo/fanboyism there are possibly more suitable products out there. Plenty of sizes though, that's always good.

I used my generic NEC mouse pad for SO MANY years, I just upgraded to the Razer Goliathus extended just last year. It definitely made a huge difference to me, my brother now uses the same pad with a razer mouse and it takes almost no effort to move the mouse. Would buy again!

I own like 5 mouse pads SuB ^_^

I have the XFX warpad on the far right on my desk and a Corsair one under my keyboard and mouse and just slide the XFX over if my wrist gets tired but the XFX pad I've had for 2-3 years now and still love it and it really saves your wrist :)

That xfx pad looks really nice, and especially considering you've had it for 3 or so years and it's still great for you! I haven't ever seen it before, i'll have to delve into it and have a proper look i think :D

Nice! Thanks Dice, man :) That thing is huge! I do like the protection from the corner of your desk from things like carpel tunnel etc...

I fold fabric atm at the corners of both arms to try to stop that happening - long story, but after leaning on my arms alot i couldn't feel a few of my fingers for 3+ weeks and freaked me out alot, thank god it healed... but i was freaking out as i couldn't even play guitar or hold a cup properly for over a month pretty much

Think that's going on my list of things i need to get ;)

No problem bud, I got it mainly because the edges of my desk are sharp as hell and this solved that :)

That is an ingenious invention, I might look into the warpad soon... terrible name imo :P

Indeed, Something like XFX Edge would of been better.

Wow... this would literally be perfect for me. I am always getting wrist aches because of the way my arm hangs off of my desk with nothing to rest on. Quite honestly I'm properly fucking amazed that I have not seen something like this sooner. I'm 100% sold even if it costs a premium.

Thank you everyone for your input and help! This has got to be one of the most helpful PC forums on the internets. Cheers all! :beerchug:

No problem bud, I checked newegg but it's out of stock, Good news though amazon US has got a lot :) -

$44 / £25 isn't cheap for a mouse mat but I honestly can't recommend it enough, It's seen me through nearly 3 years of gaming, Still looks in mint condition and has really saved my wrist :)
