hi everyone,

A friend of mine wants a new pc so i made him a list of parts he has to get.

It can't cost over €800 or at least not to much.

anyways, here what i came up with :

case: NZXT Vulcan*

motherboard : MSI 890GXM-G65

cpu : Phenom II X2 560 to be unlocked if stable

ram: GeIL 4 GB DDR3-1333 at 9-9-9-24

gpu: 1gb gigabyte gtx 460 oc

hdd: Samsung HD103SJ

dvd drive: LG GH-22NS30

wifi: SiteCom Wireless Network PCI Card 300N

psu: be quiet! Straight Power CM 480W

os: oem windows 7hp

all of these parts will have to be ordered for www.alternate.be or www.tones.be* (yes in dutch but if you got chrome that's no problem)

it's preferred that everything is in stock.

if i'm missing some parts or if you got any better suggestions, please tell me.

Have a look at the Budget build Tom did I think his one is cheaper and better performance.

That's 1156, old news now.

Not familiar at all with AMD so won't touch that part of your spec, but is a 560 Ti too far off the budget, £50 difference for equivalent 560 in England, I'd assume it's a similarly small difference where you are.

I am not saying he should copy the build, but can base off it and save money.

i was thinking of that but than you run into availibility problems. and i'm in belgium a £50 diffrence is €80 here

Fair enough suddenly that sounds like a lot more money.

So now it's up to somebody who knows more than me about AMD to question your build.

Core™ i5-2400 (4x 3100 MHz) € 174,90

Elite 370 (3x 5,25" extern, 1x 3,5" extern, 5x 3,5" intern) € 38,49

4 GB DDR3-1600 Kit (4096 MB) € 44,99

Samsung SpinPoint F3 500 GB (500 GB) € 39,99

GH-22NS30 (22 / 8 / 16 speed) € 17,79

N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti) € 239,90

P67A-GD65 (Intel® P67 Express) € 154,90

PRO750W Core Edition (750 Watt) € 89,90

Total: 800,86€, in Alternate store, without Win7 and PCI Wireless Card (it should cost to you between 15-30€).

This build is very good, and in the future you can add a 2nd card and do SLI.

Use a Win XP or something like that, you should have it at home.

If you can give more money, just change the motherboard do ASROCK P67 Extreme 3 (-40€ I think) and change the PSU, for a OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W (-30€ I think). Then, change to a GIGABYTE GTX460 (-70€) but notice that you will have a considerable difference of performance.

The Windows 7 in that store are too expensive, if you want to buy one, buy at ebay, or USA/UK stores.
