NEW Z170 Build, need lots of advice

Need further help.

My current specs are
i5 7600K
MSI Z270 GAMING PRO
Corsair Vengeance LPX 1 x 8GB 2400MHz
Corsair H80i v2
XFX GT240 512MB (As my monitor does not have HDMI or DVI-D Port)
Antec EDGE 750W GOLD

I'm upgrading to:
LG 27MP58VQ-P 27"
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G or 1080Ti ? or GTX 1070 is enough?
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX (3 or 1 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 (already have 1)

I think, there won't be any need to upgrade at least 2 to 3 years after this.??

So you are running single channel memory? If so, dual channel memory should be your first point of call. I believe you can purchase another stick of the exact same memory (Vegeance LPX 2400Mhz) and run them in parallel without any problems, but I can't be sure of that. You can upgrade from two RAM sticks by adding another two identical RAM sticks without any problems (as long as it's still dual channel memory) so it stands to reason that adding a second stick of LPX 2400Mhz memory won't be an issue.

For a 1080p screen, stick to a GTX 1070. You don't need a GTX 1080 and you most certainly do not need a 1080Ti. The 1070 should last 2-3 years no problem. You may eventually need to turn a setting or two down to maintain your preferred FPS, but that could still be a potentiality with a 1080 so it's not worth it. And if you want to crank every setting there is, you're missing the point in my opinion. You're better off with a higher resolution monitor than having one superfluous setting at its highest. Even a GTX 1080 at 1080p can't crank every setting in every game without dropping below 60 FPS so be conservative and you'll be fine.

:D
Also how much RAM should I use wrt suggested Graphic Card!

16GB is the ideal amount for anything after GTX 1060/RX 580. 8GB will suffice for most games, but it's recommended to have 16GB for a stable system. Running out of memory causes crashes and serious issues, not just FPS drops.

Doubts cleared, thank you.

One more question :
Should I go for
LG 27MP58VQ-P 27"
(it has DVI-D & HDMI)
LG 32MN58H 31.5"
(It has only HDMI & VGA)

And how about newegg or b&h to buy from?
I'm from India.

I would suggest the 27" over the 31.5". Even 27" is quite big for a 1080p screen. 24" is ideal for a 1080p screen, 27" for a 1440p screen, and 32" for a 2160p (4k) screen. If you can find a 1080p 24" IPS panel, that would be better (if you're set on IPS).

HDMI is fine to use for 60Hz panels. DVI-D allows for higher refresh rate monitors, but since neither of the LG panels you picked are 120 or 144Hz, HDMI is fine.

On that note, neither of those monitors are gaming orientated. They will likely have higher input lag and will not be able to take advantage of a GTX 1070, which is capable of driving higher than 60 FPS in most games at 1080p. Are you OK with that?

If you're from India, I suggest buying from an Indian online retailer. Buying from Newegg in the USA could cause high shipping costs, and if anything were to go wrong with the components you may have to pay a lot for returns shipping.

I don't care about FPS, my eyes can only notice difference between 30-60 and not above that. And I don't find any need!
Its ok for me if it is giving 100fps and I'm seeing only 60. And I'm ok with 1080p, I just want a larger screen for my family to enjoy as they have nothing to do with resolutions. They're just going to sit back and enjoy.

And about purchasing MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G is priced at 60k where as on newegg 1080Ti priced at 48k and shopping 5k. 1060 is available at 20k on newegg and here in India it is priced at 35k minimum. It was at 70k from last couple of month. 1070 at around 95k and 1080Ti around 150k. Can you imagine the LOOT ?
That's why I decided to buy from international market.

Just I'm confused about monitor, if I will not notice difference with HDMI then good to go with any of those monitors. Just give my brain a choice.

If you're not fussed about FPS, even a GTX 1060 or RX 580 would suffice. A 1070 will certainly give you more freedom in the coming years though.

If it is indeed cheaper to buy from the US, even with import duties and shipping, go for it.

There is no difference between HDMI or DVI in terms of picture quality. I would suggest using HDMI as it comes on every single gaming graphics card currently being produced.

Hey, sorry for disturbing again. I've got two new Hard Disk
ST2000LM007 - 128MB 6GB/s
ST2000LM003 - 32MB cache

I want to put this two into mirror, will it create any problem? Or performance.

Should be able to. If you are using the built in controller in the motherboard it may cause an issue. I would ask the manufacturer. If no issue happens then essentially you only get to use whatever the slower/smaller drive has.

Getting transfer speed upto 150mbps average. RAID setup, tested it, saved data and broke it now again re-joined and it is rebuilding now. :D
