New AMD AM2 board HSF mounting

Looks like they will have 4 holes. Existing HSF assemblies will fit if they fit into the standard HSF mounting bracket....tough if you`re using most waterblocks or phase.

Any ideas on if the hole positions and distances will be the same? I'm assuming they will either be the same or very similar?

Hmm interesting. This is going to mean yet another Mach GT head kit to be made and also some Chilly1 head kit mods to be done.

I seriously hope they will fit and not interfere with the existing holes on the Chilly1 heads, otherwise I may have to cry.....and that's definately not good!!

I`m guessing the holes will be in the 4 corners

It would be better if the mouting holes wer like the K7 mounting holes, but I suppose we can be creative

Hi all, so if there will be 4 holes ,we will need new mounting on mach II GT. How much do you think it will cost? Will I have to have new head or only mounting on motheboard??
